Continental emerges as Supplier of Choice for Mahindra KUV100

company Continental, has been selected by Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
(M&M), India’s leading SUV manufacturer, to supply a wide range of
automotive components for its newly launched, segment defining compact SUV,
KUV100. Continental will provide the complete gasoline engine management system
(EMS), including electronic control units, injectors, fuel rail, electronic
throttle control, and sensors including knock, temperature, cam and crank and
temperature manifold absolute pressure (TMAP) sensor. Continental will also
supply gasoline fuel delivery modules, wheel speed sensors (WSS) and instrument
clusters to the leading OEM.
Launched in January 2016,
KUV100’s aggressive styling, trendy interiors, long list of features and
attractive price point have had extensive appeal and helped it garner immense
popularity. This segment creating SUV is a landmark project for both Mahindra
and Continental. While Mahindra has debuted its first three cylinder gasoline
engine with the KUV100, Continental has carried out the complete system
integration in close partnership with the company. Continental is locally
manufacturing and assembling a majority of the components across its production
units in Bangalore, Pune, and Manesar.
